Pilates For Golfers
For avid golf players, one thing we do most is admire the pros and dream of playing like they do. Believe it or not, many of the pros on the PGA and LPGA tours over the last 10-15 years have taken a much more active role in implementing exercise and physical therapy to keep their bodies feeling well and performing at their peak. Part of this includes Pilates.
Golf and Pilates share some basic fundamentals such as, requiring flexibility, trunk rotation, core strength and glute stabilization. Pilates can certainly assist with this with a specifically designed program to help strengthen while keeping you mobile. By participating in a Pilates specific golf program, this can lead to less overuse injuries allowing you to spend much more time enjoying
